Seedlip – the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit – has announced its new local ambassador, Jasmin (Jaz) Rutter.
Rutter’s role includes educating retailers and bartenders on how to work with Seedlip, which launched in New Zealand in late February, and she is also looking forward to coming up with her own creative mixes at events throughout the country.
After graduating from AUT’s graphic design school, Rutter has since worked all over the world, including stints in New York, San Francisco, Spain and the Caribbean. She’s spent years on luxury yachts – becoming chief stewardess – and behind some of the world’s best bars, and was a finalist in the Diageo World Class global bartending competition in 2015.
She was also a global brand ambassador for Diageo Reserve Spirits, and says she’s looking forward to bringing her ingenuity to the world of non-alcoholic spirits.
“After working with multiple reserve spirits globally, I am beyond excited to be back in this beautiful country and spreading the Seedlip love. To work with such an innovative and groundbreaking product is a dream,” says Rutter.
Seedlip’s tagline is ‘‘what to drink when you’re not drinking” and Rutter says as well as establishing Seedlip’s signature serve, a Seedlip & Tonic, she will be putting a Kiwi spin on the British-made botanical spirit, mixing it with indigenous ingredients to create unique non-alcoholic drinks.
Rutter spent 12 years living and working overseas, and was first introduced to Seedlip in the UK.
“I fell in love with Seedlip as soon as it was launched, so to now be the New Zealand brand ambassador is such an honour.”
Seedlip sold out just one week after launching into New Zealand with new stock due to land in mid-March.
