Hop Federation’s Fresh Hop Pilsner

Hop Federation’s Fresh Hop Pilsner

Hop Federation’s limited release, Fresh Hop Pilsner, is here.

With fresh hops, picked by their parent company Kono, and coming from just down the road, it’s as fresh as it gets. Motueka hops from Te Maatu hop gardens and Taiheke hops from Karaka gardens combine to create a delicious drop, zapping with zingy, zesty citrus aromas and flavours.

Chief Brewer, Simon Nicholas, says “We’re really excited to add another fresh hop beer to the 2024 line-up. Our Green Limousine Fresh Hopped IPA is always a favourite and now we’re in a bigger brewery, we can create even more fresh hop brews. This year we’re releasing three, so keep an eye out!”

He adds, “Fresh hop beers are always a highlight because they change year on year, depending on harvest. This means you’ve really got to tweak your recipes to work with the hops you’ve got and that’s a super fun challenge.”

Now available to order in 440ml cans. For details on pricing and ordering information, contact brews@hopfederation or visit hopfederation.co.nz.

They are part of Māori food and beverage family business, Kono, who have more than a decade of hop growing experience with eight hop varieties over 34 hectares. Hop Federation take those hops and create brews like this one, making them the perfect match.

They’ve been around since 2013 and are dedicated to producing quality brews using the best local ingredients wherever possible. Hop-forward, refreshing and high quality. Just good, clean beer.
