DB shouts employees $250 to spend at their local

In anticipation of bars and restaurants opening in the coming weeks, every fully vaccinated DB employee is set to receive a $250 ‘DB Shout’ fund.

The fund is for employees to spend on drinks and eating out, to help fill restaurants, bars, and pubs, and to demonstrate support for its customers and the hospitality industry, says DB.

This initiative also provides an incentive for DB people to protect themselves and their communities by being fully vaccinated.

“We know our friends in hospitality are preparing for a busy December, as people will look to reconnect and celebrate the festive season,” says Paul Millward, Sales Director at DB Breweries.

“We also know they’ve got lost time to make up for, so this is our way of showing our support and getting feet back through the doors of bars and restaurants.”

Millward says the industry, especially in Auckland, needs support and needs to open soon.

“Our cry to Kiwis is, when your local bars and restaurants reopen, get out and support those wonderful hospitality businesses.

“We also want to say thanks to our people who have done such an awesome job, all across the country.

“Adaptability and flexibility through the challenges that COVID has presented has been amazing.”
