2021 New Zealand International Wine Show to be rescheduled

Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 lockdowns, organisers of the 2021 New Zealand International Wine Show have announced they are rescheduling this year’s competition.

Entries were due to close this Friday but judging can only take place under Alert Level 2 and with no indication of when that may be, Wine Show Convener Kingsley Wood says new dates are being explored.

“We are investigating new dates, there are some that may be suitable – we will make a final decision once we know where the government is taking us,” he says.

“At this stage all received entries are in the system – many judging samples have arrived and they are locked away safe and sound.

“For now, we will not be closing off on accepting entries this week.”

Wood says competition will be rescheduled once they have more information.

“The safety of our judges and staff is paramount.”
