New brew supports men’s mental health

Yeastie Boys has announced the new limited release of Blokequet – a 2.5% session mid-strength hazy Pale Ale made with flowers for a special cause.

“We know Kiwi blokes don’t give each other flowers, in fact, most men won’t get flowers until their own funerals,” says Josh Sanford, Yeastie Boys NZ General Manager.

“In a country that has as much self-harm as Aotearoa, we’re having too many funerals.

“Luckily, having chats about your mental health helps and we know guys like a beer and a yarn, so we’ve brewed the Blokequet, a new way to give your mate flowers and catch up.”

This new drinkable bunch of flowers has a scant bitterness, with an explosion of ‘flowers’ and tropical, citrus fruit to taste.

The hop aromas have subtle floral notes from the earl grey blue flower, notes of bergamot, orange citrus and white wine spice. It offers up easy drinking with a soft mouthfeel.

Brewed to make a difference, each and every limited-release can sold provides a donation to the I AM HOPE Foundation, supporting the youth of New Zealand and the leaders of tomorrow.
