Hop Federation has just released a celebratory new beer to mark 10 years of brewing.
Fresh and crisp, with Riwaka, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops in the mix, and champagne yeast added at the end of the brewing process to create brut-style bubbles and a satisfyingly dry finish.
Chief Brewer, Simon Nicholas, says “We wanted to do something special to celebrate our 10th birthday and this Brut Pilsner got great feedback at Beervana, as well as being awarded a silver medal at the New Zealand Beer Awards this year, so it was the perfect option.”
He adds, “At 4.9% ABV, it’s a delicious summery drop – in fact, it’d go perfectly with some fresh snapper cooked on the barbecue.”
Hop Federation are from the very heart of hop country in the Tasman District. If you’re in the Nelson region over summer, be sure to visit their new taproom next to the Riwaka Hotel. Opening every day from 10am – 7pm with the full Hop Federation range, including any new seasonals, six-packs, 440ml cans, riggers and merchandise, Tohu wines, and a great range of deli products.
