Gin Jubilee 2023 finalists announced

Super Liquor has announced the finalists of Gin Jubilee 2023, plus the dates for the finale party.

After a month of travelling New Zealand, the expert judges whittled the field down to the 10 tastiest gin cocktails.

Organisers say this year’s competition had the highest calibre of entrants they have seen yet, pushing the boundaries of ingredients from pancakes, to tiger’s milk, to macadamias.

The Regional Winners and Supreme Winner will be revealed at the Grand Finale on the 11th of March in Auckland at Everybody’s and Imperial lane.

The regional finalists are:

Wellington
Bambuchi – I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues (Lighthouse Gin)
Poquito – Scofflaw Sling (Scapegrace Gin)
Hawthorn Lounge – Fennel Lane (Hendrick’s Gin)

Christchurch
Fiddlesticks – Grandma’s Blackberry Gin (Hayman’s Gin)
Austin Club – Ford Austin (Fords Gin)
Miro – Pancake & Tonic (Four Pillars Gin)

Auckland
The Churchill – Betty Crocker’s “Pie Plant” Fizz (1919 Gin)
Apéro – The Left Nut (Victor Gin)
Reign & Pour – Saladitos Neptunia (Hendrick’s Gin)

Wildcard
Kismet – Death & Taxes (Fords Gin)
