East Imperial Thai Dry Ginger Ale makes an entrance
The spicy new Thai Dry Ginger Ale is yet another example of the founders’ vision to create a range of beverages steeped in tradition, rich history and utmost quality.
It is the very first ginger ale to use real spice extract from natural ginger, which is sourced from Thailand – unlike other modern mixers on the market, which typically contain little to no real ginger.
Like the rest of the brand’s portfolio, East Imperial Thai Dry Ginger Ale is also impressively low in sugar, with only 10.5g per serving – just over half of the amount of other brands on the market – and uses all natural, ethically sourced ingredients, to ensure a superior tasting beverage designed to complement the finest of spirits.
This combination of wholesome, real ingredients and zero additives results in an attractive, light-coloured beverage that is in stark contrast to the dark golden hue of traditional ginger ales – a testament to its authentic, careful craftsmanship.
Ginger has a long history as a sought-after ingredient, known for its sharp, rich flavour and unique aromatic quality. Coveted in the Middle Ages throughout Europe and a luxury item during the 1st Century, the spice has proven its versatility and popularity throughout the years.
Following the reported first invention of ginger ale in the early 1850s, the drink soared in popularity. By the late 1800s it was one of America’s favourite sodas; and went on to become the base ingredient of a wealth of cocktails that became classics.
As is the case with the entire East Imperial range, the company created Thai Dry Ginger Ale to celebrate a host of the famous cocktails that defined an era of discovery, and at the same time showcase the flavours and craftsmanship of the premium spirits that create these iconic drinks.
Namely, East Imperial Thai Dry Ginger Ale is perfect as a summer fruit cup; a quintessentially British summer tradition. But while waiting for those warmer months to arrive, try it as a classic Buck cocktail, paired with whisky or bourbon; or as a Hong Kong Gunner, often described as the ‘only real Hong Kong cocktail’ – ginger ale in a highball glass with plenty of ice and a dash of bitters.
This versatility means East Imperial Thai Dry Ginger Ale is an enjoyable beverage year-round; and its long rounded spice note complements the perfect balance of natural cane sugar and lemon notes creates a refreshingly delicious drink both on its own and partnered with premium spirits.
