New Hop Federation Beer Release

Hop Federation’s Hold the Line NZIPA

Hop Federation’s limited release, Hold the Line NZIPA, is here.

A celebration of New Zealand hops with Southern Cross, Taiheke and Nectaron packed in to create a tropical taste explosion. Hold the line, caller – it’s beer o’clock.

Chief Brewer, Simon Nicholas, says “We’re excited to launch this new NZIPA, fresh from our new Motueka brewery. This was our first time brewing with Nectaron hops and we’re really happy with the result. At 6.3% ABV, it’s a solid brew bursting with great flavour.”

He adds, “NZIPA is a style that truly showcases the unique characters of New Zealand hops, which is what we’re all about. Being from the heart of hop country, we pride ourselves on using local hops as much as possible so it was the perfect choice for us.”

Now available to order in 50L kegs or 440ml cans. For details on pricing and ordering information, contact brews@hopfederation or visit hopfederation.co.nz.

Hop Federation are from Motueka, the very heart of hop country in the Tasman District. Having recently moved from their Riwaka brewery to a bigger, better brewery in Motueka (just 10 minutes down the road), they’ve been working on new brews, as well as revamping the current range, making every brew even more hop-forward, refreshing, and delicious.

They are part of Māori food and beverage family business, Kono, who have more than a decade of hop growing experience with eight hop varieties over 34 hectares. Hop Federation take those hops and create brews like their fresh hop beers, making them the perfect match.

If you’re in Nelson over summer, be sure to visit their new taproom next to the Riwaka Hotel. Opening November, keep an eye on their socials for details!
