Heineken offers Kiwis a taste of Formula 1

 

Heineken is bringing a taste of Formula 1® to New Zealand with a custom-built Heineken Slot Car Track, offering one lucky winner a world-class trip for two to the Singapore Grand Prix.

As an official sponsor of Formula 1, Heineken has launched its More Than Just a Race campaign that brings to life the high energy and exhilarating world that is Formula 1.

From July through to August, Heineken will deliver this excitement to New Zealand with a bespoke Heineken F1 Slot Car Track that replicates the Singapore Grand Prix race track.

The track will travel the country, inviting participants to compete against one another and race against the clock in pursuit of completing the fastest lap. Each evening of the competition, the racer with the fastest lap time will receive a limited-edition Heineken branded Formula 1 jacket. The overall winner with the fastest lap time in the country will win a VIP trip for two to the Singapore Grand Prix this September.

“As an official sponsor of the world’s most prestigious motor racing sport, we have access to this world-class event and we are thrilled to share this with Heineken fans,” says Taylor Green, Heineken Marketing Manager. “To celebrate, we wanted to take the action in to a number of New Zealand’s favourite Heineken bars to give them a taste of Formula 1.”

The Heineken F1 Slot Car Track will travel around top Heineken bars in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland in search of New Zealand’s fastest slot car driver. The track will begin in Christchurch from 2 July to 7 July, before travelling to Wellington from 18 July to 21 July and Auckland from 30 July to 20 August.
