Brand highlights

Every year we hold a MONIN Cup to celebrate New Zealand’s local talent and give them the opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage.

Last year’s MONIN Cup theme was “the “Low is More”, celebrating low- no-alcohol beverages and Miles Muir from Black Pineapple took home the prize for his creative low-alcohol cocktail.

And in April this year, we held the MONIN Coffee Creativity Cup that showcased creative mocktails that featured espresso. It was a fantastic event showcasing talent from all across the country competing for the title of New Zealand champion.

We are delighted to be sending Hanna Teramoto to Malaysia later in the year to represent New Zealand in the Asia Pacific Finals.

Some of our all-time favourites are tropical flavours such as Lychee, Watermelon, Strawberry and Pineapple – all perfect for a consistent burst of summer flavour throughout the year, especially when these fruits are not in season.

As we head into cooler weather, our indulgent and trending options such as Crème Brulee, Pumpkin Spice and Matcha Green Tea have become very popular.

New product launches

This year we launched our range of sugar-free syrups – Vanilla, Caramel and Hazelnut. This launch has been very well received with consumers being increasingly more health-conscious and looking for lower-calorie alternatives to their favourite beverages.

Whether they are following a low-sugar diet for health reasons, such as diabetes, or just looking for a healthier lower-sugar treat, consumers have told us they are pleased to now be able to appreciate the full flavours they love in their drinks but without the added sugar or calories.

No-Guilt Martini

Ingredients:
30 ml MONIN Sugar free Vanilla syrup
15 ml lime juice
1 tbsp passionfruit pulp
45 ml vodka
Champagne to top

Method:
Shake the first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Strain into your chilled martini glass, then top with champagne to serve.
