Monkey Shoulder whisky is known for its smooth, balanced blend but it’s about to be known for blending of another kind. The award-winning whisky has partnered with one of New Zealand’s highest profile graffiti artists, Otis Frizzell, to mix whisky, music and street culture like never before.

Until the end of June, selected liquor stores across the country are offering the chance to win one of 50 limited-edition, hand-painted portable Panasonic (SC-BMAX5) Bluetooth speakers featuring Frizzell’s artwork.
Inspired by Monkey Shoulder’s bold groove, each speaker is a one-of-a-kind artwork, custom-painted and sign-written by the artist himself. Head into stores to find out more.
With over 30 years experience in public graffiti art, Frizzell has a long standing association with the music industry. In his late teens he was part of Hip Hop Duo MC OJ and Rhythm Slave, and since then his art work has graced the covers of some classic New Zealand Albums, from Che Fu’s ‘2 B SPacific” to Fat Freddy’s Drop’s ‘Dr Boondigga and the Big BW’.
Keeping his hand in the local music scene, he recently painted some crew banners live at the ‘Friends & Whānau Vs The Turnaround’ gig at the legendary Leigh Sawmill (pictured above in top photo).
Monkey Shoulder’s playful, rebellious spirit blends beautifully with Frizzell’s street culture roots. And, with a new, hand-painted Bluetooth speaker to inspire, drinkers will be set to explore their own creativity on the dancefloor or by mixing their own beats. However you choose to get creative, the new collaboration between Otis Frizzell and Monkey Shoulder will have you ready to party in no time.
