A lovely wine with an intriguing bouquet of fruit, spice, and complexity. A dry wine touches the palate, then core fruit flavours of ripe grapefruit, green and yellow peach, apricot, and barrel spices. Almost full-bodied, with acidity and tannins adding tension and poise before the fruit flavours and wood impact take over. I like the hint of gunflint adding further complexity to the style. Well-made and in a decent drinking window. Best from day of purchase through 2029.
