Plush, ripe, fleshy bouquet with a varietal core of dark cherry and blackcurrant, followed by a fine white peppercorn spice note. There’s a light dried herb layer, then barrel spice and a soft wood smoke nuance. Complex, still youthful, and enticing. Flavours on the palate mirror the bouquet, though in reverse – blackcurrant and plum lead, followed by cherry. Fine tannins show polish, with plenty of acidity for freshness and drive. Well made, with best drinking from mid to late 2026 through to 2032.
