A lovely bouquet — ripe and fresh, varietal and perfumed — with scents of cherry and strawberry, followed by dried herbs and fading rose petals. There’s a distinctive mineral quality, suggesting a clay and stone combination, enhanced by layers of baking spice and barrel smoke. Delicious on the palate: dry, with a frame of tannins and acidity, then flavours of red berries and plum that reflect the bouquet. Lengthy and well made, with building complexity and a lasting mouthfeel. Best enjoyed from 2028 through 2035+.
